The Athens Clarke County Unified Government (ACCUG) employs 3,000 people who serve 123,000 residents with support for everything from public utilities to transportation to fire and police departments. This local government also supports systems for the University of Georgia, the largest employer in the area and host to 35,000 students.
ACCUG wanted to be able to integrate more easily with third-party solutions and better support emerging business initiatives so it needed to modernize its messaging from legacy IBM Notes/Domino to Microsoft Exchange on-premises. The government worked with Corus360, an IT transformation firm, which recommended Binary Tree Migrator by Quest for Notes (formerly CMT) as the organization’s modernization solution.
