What’s New from Binary Tree for July 2020July 9, 2020
Each month, we publish our “What’s New” blog series to give a snapshot into the exciting developments in our solution over the last month. You can also sign up to receive product release notifications, here.
This past month's releases focus on continued, industry-leading enhancements to the Power365® platform. While Power365® Directory Sync continues to set the standard for efficient coexistence, and Power365® Active Directory is the first SaaS Active Directory and Azure AD migration and consolidation solution, this month, Power365 Tenant to Tenant is changing the game with all of the packed advancements in the latest release.
Power365® Tenant-to-Tenant now has a FREE TRIAL for Power365® Migration projects, for up to three users. Now, you can migrate mail, users, data – without limits on data or sync passes – including OneDrive content to get the full experience of Power365. With automatic discovery and matching, you can test Power365 over a two-week period to gain added confidence in selecting Power365 to solve your tenant transformation project. Get started with the trial, here.
Also, for Power365 Migration projects – including mail, archives, and OneDrive content – for up to 500 licenses, you can now PAY FOR LICENSES DIRECTLY WITHIN POWER365 using secure credit card processing. Ideal for customers familiar with Power365 (including through the trial experience), you can complete your entire migration experience on your schedule. With convenient help videos and detailed documentation at your fingertips, you also can proceed with confidence, as Binary Tree’s 24/7 support is also complimentary with Power365 Migration purchases for one year. This self-guided migration option is perfect for merging small or medium businesses (SMBs) already on Microsoft 365, SMBs moving to Microsoft 365 from Exchange, or even large enterprises needing migration licenses for a smaller acquisition. But, that’s not all that is new in Power365 this month. While Power365 has had Outlook Setup Pro for years, delivering automatic configuration of user’s outlook profiles for a seamless migration, we are now expanding that with Desktop Setup Pro. Desktop Setup Pro delivers automatic configuration of OneDrive and Teams, in addition to Outlook, saving as much as 30 minutes per user of manual tasks—which can add up to hundreds of hours of added productivity for enterprise organizations. While other solutions only deliver Outlook automation, you get even more savings with Desktop Setup Pro.
To make sure our customers have the highest security compliance aligned with industry standards, Power365 is ready for Microsoft’s shift from Basic Authentication to Modern Authentication. Without impact to existing, ongoing projects, all new Power365 projects will be automatically enabled with Modern Authentication – while keeping all project options available to meet your needs.
Power365’s Microsoft Teams migration and API PowerShell capabilities, both initially released a year ago, continue to evolve with added capabilities to expand more project applications. For Power365’s Teams migrations, customers can now migrate Private Channel conversation history in addition to profile photos within the Teams application. Power365 continues to build supported Teams migration features, leading the way above other available solutions. The continued expansion of PowerShell API functionality with Power365 lets administrators have the ability to adjust tenant discovery intervals to better fit project needs, enable or disable discovery as needed, or to even set a trigger for tenant discovery based on a certain time difference. These discovery enhancements let organizations better customize Power365 to fit the variety and scale of projects.
And finally, Power365 is continuously updated for overall platform improvements in speed and efficiency, to make projects faster at any scale. With recent Discovery enhancements, customers have seen full discovery times reduced by as much as 50%. And we are not stopping there, as we are always evolving Power365 in both functionality and performance to meet the growing demands of our customers.
