A Clear View to More Collaboration for VELUXDecember 8, 2015
VELUX, a worldwide leader for manufacturing skylights and roof windows, selected Binary Tree’s CMT for Exchange, CMT for Coexistence, and Remote Managed Migration services to transition its 6,000 users from Lotus Notes to Microsoft Office 365.
Learn about VELUX's new collaborative communications.
The VELUX Group was on a mission to create a more efficient, cohesive global business infrastructure. To affect this change, the company’s employees needed a better way to communicate and collaborate with each other. As an important part of this initiative, Binary Tree, along with partners Accenture and Microsoft, migrated VELUX’s 6,000 employees to Office 365 over six weekends.
With different migration waves, coexistence was key. Binary Tree’s CMT for Coexistence enabled email and calendar interoperability between VELUX’s migrated and un-migrated users, and users to continue to use Lotus Notes email-enabled workflow applications within Outlook, for as long into the future as needed.
To migrate the customer's email, calendar entries, contracts, and to-dos remotely, Binary Tree’s Remote Managed Migration services were used, saving VELUX the expense of on-site consultants and related costs.
Manufacturing a More Connected World
As a result of the entire IT infrastructure upgrade, the VELUX Group is building a more connected organization through efficient, consolidated business functions. Furthermore, regardless of the location of a VELUX employee, they can stay current with department or project information—increasing a sense of corporate pride and helping the company realize its vision of One VELUX.
