Prerequisites to configure a
CMT for Exchange™ migration workstation
The requirements for the CMT for Exchange migration workstations are as follows:
- Windows XP Pro with SP2 or SP3 or Windows 2003 Server with SP2
- Outlook 2007 with SP2
- Lotus Notes 7.0.3 installed as normal single user installation (multi-user installations not supported); Notes 8.x not supported on migration workstations
- IIS with web service components
- .NET Framework 2.0 SP1
- Latest Windows updates applied, particularly MSXML packages and updates
Outlook must be the default email client, and you must be logged into the PC with local admin privileges. You must be using a Notes ID with access to read your Domino directory and manager access to the source mailbox data, and be able to access Notes from outside applications (CMT for Exchange). Finally, you cannot have restrictions on your network or workstation that prevent the automatic creation of MAPI profiles or PST files, nor any applications which take over or block the use of port 80.
If migrating to Exchange 2003, we recommend that you login to the PC with an account that has at least "take ownership" rights to the mail store that is your migration destination, and that you are logging into the same domain as the migration destination. If migrating to Exchange 2007 or 2010, the privilege level required to migrate to user mailboxes is "Full Access".
