Identify applications that match standard Lotus Notes templates
CMT for SharePoint can quickly catalog your Lotus Notes applications and identify those that can be migrated.  SharePoint has standard templates that closely match key Lotus Notes templates in both design and functionality, so the migration effort will only require content migration.  CMT for SharePoint’s exclusive DNA Analysis functionality can even tell you ‘how closely your application matches one of the standard Notes templates’, so you can migrate applications that started off from a standard Notes template design.  Minor customizations on the destination SharePoint application will then replicate the desired application functionality.

Select the applications to migrate
You can manually select the applications that you want to migrate to Microsoft SharePoint. These selections are then moved to the migration window.

Audit the applications
Running an audit prior to the application will help identify any problems that you may occur during the migration. The majority of these problems are due to file size restrictions and blocked file types in Microsoft SharePoint. These are not a cause for alarm.  You can choose to change the SharePoint settings prior to the migration. Otherwise, you can modify the files and migrate them manually afterwards. The best part is that you have a chance to fix the issues before the migration begins.

Migrate the Notes applications
Once you are ready to start migrating applications, you simply select the application you want to migrate, select the target SharePoint site (new or existing), and schedule the migration to begin immediately or to start at a date and time in the future. There are multiple ways to select the data to be migrated, including selecting all documents, selecting only those in a particular Notes view, and using an at (@) formula to filter the selection of documents.

Multiple migrations can be run at the same time on one workstation.  You will be able to open your new SharePoint site as soon as the migration completes. User resolution will take place automatically.
