CMT
for Public Folders:
Prerequisites to Run
CMT for Public Folders™
Binary Tree's CMT Exchange
Public Folders is a Lotus Notes solution which may be deployed to Domino server
or a run from a Notes client. This database requires a customized mail
template, provided by Binary Tree, used to create the mail files populated with
information migrated from Exchange Public folders and migrating the correct ACL
from the Public Folder into the ACL of new mail file. This solution like
many of the CMT solutions, is Notes based, there does not need any special third
party software installed to use the solution. Because the original
environment includes Outlook and Exchange, a workstation, using CMT for Public
Folders requires Outlook 2003 along with CDO, a Notes client 6.65 or higher with
a Notes ID which has manager access to the Notes environment, and a MAPI profile
which provides the workstation user, to the Exchange environment, manager
access.
Using the CMT Exchange Public Folders requires
little training. Like most of our other solutions, it requires configuring
the "Setting" document then using the buttons defining an organized workflow,
first to import the Public Folder Exchange information then migrating the
contents of the Exchange public folder information to Notes mail files placed on
the local workstation or to a Domino server.
