Binary Tree Announces High-Fidelity Software for Migrating Lotus Notes to Google Apps

Newark, NJ – January 6, 2009 – Binary Tree announced today the general availability of CMT for Google AppsTM, the newest addition to its award-winning suite of enterprise email migration products. CMT for Google Apps v1.0 enables Lotus Notes/Domino customers to leverage proven Binary Tree technology for high-fidelity migration of email, calendar and contact data to Google Apps, the suite of collaboration and communication applications that include GmailTM, Google CalendarTM, Google DocsTM, Google SitesTM, and more. CMT for Google Apps can be configured to run on a single machine for small migrations or configured to create a migration farm for large enterprise migrations.

As a platform-agnostic technology provider, Binary Tree empowers its clients to effectively execute their strategic platform transition choices with confidence and at low cost, regardless of the source and target platform choices. CMT for Google Apps joins a growing CMT™ solution suite that enables clients to leverage Binary Tree technologies for transitions that involve messaging and collaboration platforms from Google, IBM, Microsoft, and Novell to name a few. Additional Google-focused solutions, which will enable seamless email and calendar runtime coexistence between Lotus Notes and Google Apps during a transition to the Google environment, will be announced in the future.

Traci Blowers, Binary Tree’s Director of Alliances and Business Development, heralded the release, stating, "CMT for Google Apps brings a new level of choice to the messaging and collaboration marketplace. Our work with Google, combined with our existing strategic alliances with Microsoft and IBM, uniquely enables our clients to more successfully coexist with, and transition between, the major enterprise messaging and collaboration platforms.”

Steve Mullen, Manager of Software Development at Binary Tree, commented that the CMT for Google Apps release “presents a compelling opportunity for clients to cut operating costs by migrating their messaging environment to a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model.”
